CONCRE(E)T(E)

The performance CONCRE(E)T(E) explores the road to happiness and raises questions such as: 'what does your happiness look like?', 'what stops you on your way to happiness?' and 'do you allow yourself to be blocked the way?' CONCRE(E)T(E) refers to the English word for concrete: cold, hard, immovable and impossible to lift so heavy, but also stands for concrete: clear, tangible and real. The 'concrete' blocks in the performance are a stumbling block on the route to happiness. The audience is part of the performance that confronts them with the fact that their own quest for happiness affects someone else's.

CONCRE(E)T(E) was commissioned in 2018 by Erwin Hagen, outgoing director-director of MeanderOmnium.
