The 2015 refugee crisis caused much social unrest and refugees were dubbed fortune seekers. An audio-visual installation, SELFISH SEARCHERS immersed visitors for a few minutes in the oppressive experience of fleeing by sea. In doing so, LUKE SEARCHERS brought the harsh reality of the news back to a close-to-my-bed show. Because seeking happiness is a universal, common human desire.
